The infinite use of char siew...
You know what the popular proverb says; a char siew in time saves nine (dinners).
If you're planning on making char siew, make a huge batch of it. It'll come in handy when all you wanna do is eat something quick without having to cook.
Just reheat the frozen char siew you carefully wrapped and stored in the freezer in the microwave and add some noodles and veges and voila! Le presento dinner.
The original intention of making the above char siew was to make lo mai kai.
Too bad i do not have the pics of the done loh mai kai, all upturned and stuff. Before i could take any pictures, people were done eating it. Snapped up like hot cakes, or in this case hot loh mai kai's. None of my friends truely know what it was though. They just said, "Hmmmm, that was really good brown rice with pork and chicken and mushroom"
Sigh, the culinary significance of lo mai kai is lost upon them.....
