Hey everyone,

I am craving for some dim sum stuff. Woo kok, egg tarts, siu mai, har kow (how kar chin), where are u?!

Been's a while hasn't it. Yeah, i haven't had a break from test week since three weeks ago (it's gonna be like this until mid-november; thanksgiving break). A lot of interesting things happened during these few weeks though.

First of all was the Annual Career Fair here. This fair is when all future employers come to look for recent graduates (or student interns for summer). All stops were pulled to attract future employess; food bribes, extremely meticulate booths, free gizmos (bags, pens that flash; goodies that you greedily snactch up when u see it but totally regret when u are safely back at home. Keh sampah nia). So yeah, i had a Micron interview that day and it went well i must say. The night before, Micron had a dinner for all its scholars and past interns. It was a great dinner and a great introduction to the people of Micron and its working environment for interns and graduates. Being introduced to the Micron recruiters the night before, i kinda had a one up from everyone else applying for their internship this coming summer. If you're wondering what the big hoo-haa with Micron is, well, word on the street (geek street that is) is that they are they are the highest paying employers ever (for student interns). The recruiter mentioned something about $23 and up an hour (for a sophomore too! Juniors then ma...$$$). And and, they have such a great program. During the presentation they had, they showed some pictures of the previous interns and boy, do they look like they were having fun. To me it looked more like a Micron camp than a student internship program :). Anyways, the scholars were given goodies from Micron too. A BIG orange bag and some school supplies. Pretty sweet i must say.

Okay, enough about the Career Fair. The weather. It's getting colder. The days are getting shorter and it finally snowed the other day. Last Saturday to be precise. Of course it was exciting to see the first snow fall of the season but part of my heart was breaking for summer/fall was officially gone. It's funny how short fall is here, just about four weeks and it's the beginning of winter already. For the people who had not seen snow before, that saturday was a great introduction to snow for them. People (foreign students mostly) were seen making snowballs, having snowball fights and of course building snowmen (or rather destroying other kids' snowmen. Evil bastards. Heh) Little do they know, it's gonna be like that for another 6 months.........

And despite being so busy with school, i still found time to cook good food. Heh, the mark of a true Penangite; there is always time for good food. I made some great dal and potato curry the other day to go with some dosa. I must say, the dal i made can surpass the dals u find back home (only some stalls, maybe the stall in jelutong since they have the most diluted dal ever. And it smells of water. Weird). Also made some great rendang (chicken of course), nasi minyak, kuih bingka, sweet and sour pork, lion's head meatballs (great name huh), laksa, blueberry bars, biscotti and such. All within a month. I just find it so relaxing to cook and then of course eat like a glutton. Next few items to try are lo mai kai and pulut tekan with kaya (i almost pissed my pants when i found some glutinious rice the other day. Finally, after craving for it and searching high and low for it, i FOUND it), char koey kak, idlis, and such. And mum, don't worry, i am NOT taking time that i should be studying and using it to cook. I am doing very well in school so no worries :)

I need some pics yea. The posts have been pretty wordy and stuff lately. Hmmm.
