Australian Dream or Nightmare??
*Special posting from the Land of Down Under*
It has been confirmed that the Australian (ala British) accent is way cooler than the the plain ol' American accent. Extensive research involving listening/eavesdropping to the locals has unquestionably proved that "Cheers" is way cooler than "Thanks and see you later". Well, hello hello.......
First posting from another continent i stepped on, Aussieland. Erm, three more to go??
It's been more than a week since i've been here and i'm loving it (maybe except the part where i just eat and eat and gain weight :(. But the rest is mighty fine. I was not entirely ready for winter yet considering i've spent the past eight months dredging snow, but now i am plenty happy with everything here. Finally get to see my sis and her family again and i'm glad that everything is going fine for them. Just that the-little-paper-with-pictures-of-dead-presidents-and-famous-people is a tad hard to come by.
Anyway, i have been to quite a number of places in Perth and it's all good. Love the food (home-cooked so this tells a lot about my sis, or rather her husband's cooking prowess) Took some pics, patted some koalas, fed some kangaroos and saw more animals in one day since i left school (Umi Gajah, Thunder thighs, Rofifi. Animals as in the names only, not the person itself. The persons mentioned here are great human beings, really pleasant and patient. Great educators too. Pls don't smite me)
Really the best thing about being here is being with family again. I just enjoy being with them after almost a year of separation. Coincidentally, my cousin and his wife is in Perth for a holiday. So more family in one place. Really nice.
Well, this is it then. Maybe i will post another post after i see more of WA. Which will be tomorrow :)
Cheers.

It has been confirmed that the Australians dress way cooler in winter than the the plain ol' Americans. Extensive research involving staring/people-watching the locals has unquestionably proved that "collared shirt with a knit throw-over" is way cooler than "T-shirt with a fleece jacket". And girls dress better too, much to this researcher's delight. For more information on the research and the survey done, please refer to www.andrewisalwaysrightandshouldnotbequestioned.com
