Good Ol' Times

I was just sitting on my bed when i suddenly thought about the big metal bowl in my grandma's fridge (don't ask me why that particular item came to mind. Maybe i was thirsty for a really cold drink). That big metal bowl was always filled with ice. Everytime anyone of us in the family wanted a cold drink we would pour some water into that bowl and then proceed to give the bowl a swirl or two. After that, we would pour the cold water out (or we drank it straight from the bowl itself) and enjoy the brain-numbingly cold water. This bowl was so popular amongst my cousins and me that we fought just to take sips of cold water from it. This was almost guaranteed to happen after a trip to the nearby park or after a game of badminton, played of course, over our gate. Sometimes, we would even use the bowl as a cup if dinner was particularly spicy. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, how well the metal bowl served us throughout the years...............

Thinking back about growing up in a big family
