Hi ppl,
haven't been updating my blog cos i am just done with my finals (yes!!!finally done!! and a 4.0 to boot) and because i am not connected to the internet half the time. well now is the perfect time to update my blog, sitting here in the livingston library. kay here goes.
so after i was done with my impossibly hard electrical engineering test on friday, i packed and i went over to livingston for the winter break. nothing much happened that night as i unpack, eat, wrap my presents and stuff. the next day was super fun though.
on saturday (17th), we went to get a christmas tree !! it was stupendously fun as tristan and family brought their snowmobile and their sleds. it was the best experience ever being pulled by a truck on a sled. it was even cooler to wipe out of the sled. super fun time. snowmobiling was pretty sweet too. and then we just enjoyed ourselves in the deep, deep snow making snow angels and stuff. finally we chose our christmas tree and chopped it down to bring back home.
the very next day, we put up the tree and then decorated it. helped wrap some more presents and voila, the tree is up. had a great time that day helping out.
the next few days went by pretty slowly as i wandered the streets of livingston and got around town and stuff. oh yeah, went to visit tristan's high school as there was a band concert for the christmas season. pretty cool school and kudos to the band for such a great concert. the very next day (wednesday i believe) we went to see the school's chamber choir in the bank (they were paid or something to sing there). OMG, they freaking rock. i was so blown away by the choir. the altos, supranos, tenor and base, love love love the altos and sopranos. and some soloist girls too. omg, they were so good that i was sad when it ended 30 minutes later. i thought the band was good but the chamber choir was waaaaaaaaaayyyyyy better. super nice watching them sing and all. the christmas song especially..............
well yesterday (21st) we rented the eye. and oh my god, that show still scared the crap outta me. "Tim kai lei cho ngoh ko wai...Tim kai lei cho ngoh ko wai!!!!!"(while rushing at lee sin je). and the Queen Hera (the cat) decided to jump on my couch right in the middle of the show. silly kitty made me jump so bad. could not really sleep yesterday (although somehow it is less scary watching it here in the states). noticed the thai girl was pretty. and according to tristan and river, it was a scary movie. yes !! Strike one !!! next movie is the japanese Ju-On (the movie store also carries it. kinda suprised to see the eye there though. and pretty sweet deal, only 99 cents).
well, christmas is coming up and i would like to wish all of u a very merry christmas and a great new year. do enjoy yourself and albert, kh, and din and gang, think about the trip kay. sure hope it works out. will be extremely 'fun in the sun' (cliche no. 216 that i have used here). we will definitely soak up the sun. kay, i'm outta here.
here are some pics that i have taken. hate the annoying alkaline batteries that die out in the cold weather. stupid batteries would not even last one shot in the cold.
oh yeah, i have some pics of the end of semester party i had with the global culture club on thursday of finals week. pretty cool as we each cooked our own native food (my chicken ala nasi-kandar curry was a hit, leaving few dry eyes and panting ppl in the room). oh man, the kazastan (hope i spell it right) food was awesome and i made some new friends (shout out to audy of indonesia, katae of thailand, naomi from japan and the other japanese girl, sorry forgot your name :P) . had a wonderful time. thanks everyone for making it such a great party. and goodbye to you banu and aisyah and erick. very sad that you guys are leaving. thanks for everything!!
