How much is that doggie in the window?
How much is that satay on the grill...?
I'm officially on spring break. Started last Friday actually. One week of class-lessness.
Since i'm not going anywhere for spring break, i thought of using the travel money instead for shopping. Somehow the thought of actually NOT spending any money did not occur to me. So yeah, bought a lot of shirts, shorts and pants. Spring fashion ma. Will save the new clothing for summer 08 :)
Been cooking also to kill time. Just made satay today and the sauce was fantastic! The meat still marinating. Very authentic leh. Also made bo-liao mee goreng. Reminded me a lot of PFS auntie's mee goreng. Except mine has nothing except mee, eggs and some vege. No potato, no tofu and all the other good stuff. Squid!
Although I'm on break from school, there is no break from work. I still have to go and work my 15 hrs a week. It's alright though. For now, things are going alright as I have all the parts for my current experiment and (cross fingers) all the equipment and meters work fine.
Still haven't been skiing at all this season. The season is coming to an end and yet i've not been anywhere near the slopes. Waiting for the final (hopefully) snow storm (this weekend supposedly) to come before i hit the slopes. The past two days have been warm, warm, warm and it feels good. Welcome spring! Maybe. You never know in MT.
Cleaned the house too. Swept, mopped and cleaned the toilet. After i finished cleaning though, the tap for the shower suddenly refused to turn off properly. We've called the plumber but apparently they are too busy. So, the tap has been on for like 2 days. And the steam caused by the hot water made the whole toilet seem like a sauna. Caused some major steam/water damage to the wooden door and the cardboard? ceiling.
Anyways, hope everyone is doing alright. After this break, we have a four day week. And then only 6 weeks before finals and SUMMER! Oh yeah...!
Oh yeah, recommended reading : "The Geography of Bliss" by Eric Weiner, recommended movie : "Juno".
Ciao
