Andrew's 6 easy steps to making friends in Bozeman.
1. Bring beer
- a six-pack would give you two friends (three beers for one guy, more if guy flunk a test, broke-up with a girl, plans to get drunk)
- a keg or two might guarantee you a whole frat house and probably a police record
2. Talk with the correct accent and use correct words
- dude, sweet, how's it going are essential words to master. (certain words like sweet must be stretched for the effect,ie Sweeeeeeeeettttt)
- would not hurt if you continuously insert a swear word into a normal sentence when conversing. ie, i f**king agree that dinner was damn sweet or F**king awesome
3. Dress like them
- make sure to have sweaters with the university acronym. Hoodies are a must to look cool. Throw in an i-pod (worn exposed of course!!) and a cellphone and voila!
- any matching clothes must be burned or worned with care less you attract attention.
4. Must ski or snowboard or do any cool outdoor activities
- make sure to decide which side to join and declare it often (throw comments like "skiing is for old dudes" to ensure everyone that you belong to the snowboarders)
- FYI : badminton, table tennis and reading novels (or god forbid, textbooks) are Not cool outdoor activities.
- experience in mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, ice climbing and winter camping are needed to ensure that there are no awkward silence when conversing
5. Listen to cool songs and watch sweet movies
- Songs from The Dave Matthew's band, Live, The Clintons, Metallica, and other rock bands a must for friends-making.
- Never be caught listening (or worse, actually singing) to tunes from Ashley Simpson, Lindsay Lohan or Hillary Duff (unless you wanna die with no friends; then be my guest)
6. Did i mention bring beer?
Disclaimer : This piece is intended as a joke. Anyone offended by this is not a good sport (joking again, sorry if this piece offends you). any correlations to any incidents, people or places are purely coincidental. and Bozeman f**king rocks
